Do I Need a Visa to Visit Ecuador?
Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter Ecuador for tourism or business stays under ninety (90) days.
Nationals of the following countries need a visa for all purposes:

Nationals of other countries can usually enter Ecuador for tourism without a visa, but need a visa for business purposes.

SHORT BUSINESS VISA - SHORT TOURISM VISA
The Type 12-X visa is for a temporary visit of up to ninety (90) days by for the purposes of tourism, sports, health, science, art or commercial or business activities.
Regular: 10 working days US$60
LONG BUSINESS VISA - LONG TOURISM VISA
The 12-IX visa is for tourists, professional players, students, scientists, artists, and businessman who will be staying in Equador for between three (3) and six (6) months.
Regular: 10 working days US$230
