Do I Need a Visa to Visit Germany?

Canadian citizens using Canadian passports do not require a visa to enter Germany for tourism or business stays under ninety (90) days.

Nationals of the following countries do not need a visa:
European Union (EU);
Andorra, Argentina, Bolivia, Brazil, Bulgaria, CANADA, Chile, Costa Rica, Croatia, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Hong Kong, Israel, Japan, Korea Rep, Macau, Malaysia, Mexico, Monaco, New Zealand, Nicaragua, Niue, Panama, Paraguay, Romania, San Marino, Singapore, UK, Uruguay, USA, Vatican, Venezuela.

All other nationals will need a visa.

Nationals of the following countries must, in addition to the required visa documents, supply two copies of both the visa application form and passport photo, and a copy of their passport data page, and provide the full address including postcode of a reference in Germany:
Afghanistan, Algeria, Bahrain, Colombia, Congo DR, Egypt, Indonesia, Iran, Iraq, Jordan, Korea DPRK, Kuwait, Lebanon, Libya, Oman, Pakistan, Philippines, Qatar, Saudi Arabia, Somalia, Sudan, Surinam, Syrian Arab Republic, UAE, Yemen.

Germany is a signatory of the Schengen area Agreement on border control and visa standardization. The application for a Schengen area visa is the same for all members. Prices vary depending on the country of your first arrival.
