Do I Need a Visa to Visit Kazakhstan?

Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport require a visa to visit Kazakhstan.

Nationals of the following countries do not need a visa:
CIS (former USSR) countries, *EXCEPT Turkmenistan.

Nationals of the following countries do not need an official invitation validated by the Interior Ministry to get a visa:
Australia, Austria, Belgium, CANADA, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany, Greece, Italy, Ireland, Iceland, Japan, Liechtenstein, Luxemburg, Malaysia, Monaco, The Netherlands, New Zealand, Norway, Portugal, Singapore, South Korea, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland, UK, USA.

NOTE: These travellers must supply a letter explaining the purpose of travel in details, and proving Kazakhi contact information.

All other nationals will need an official invitation and a regular visa .
