Do I Need a Visa to Visit Nigeria?

Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport need a visa to visit Nigeria.

Nationals of the following countries do not need a visa: Benin, Burkina Faso, Cameroon, Cape Verde, Chad, Côte d'Ivoire, Gambia, Ghana, Guinea, Guinea Bissau, Liberia, Mali, Mauritania, Morocco, Niger, Senegal, Sierra Leone, Togo.

All other nationals will need a visa.

Nigerian is undergoing an electronic revolution in their visa processing; and the requirements and procedures are being standardized around the world. However, there are still substantial differences in what some Nigerian missions require. Requirements in Canada are rather strict.
