Do I Need a Visa to Visit South Korea?
Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport do not need a visa to visit Korea for the purpose of tourism, business, or visitation, provided that no work is undertaken, and the stay is less than ninety (90) days in length.
Canadians require a special visa to teach English in South Korea.

Nationals of the following countries do not need a business or tourist visa:

Persons from the following countries or places require a visa for all purposes: citizens of China, India, Iran, Mongolia, Myanmar, Nepal, Pakistan, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, Nigeria, Ghana, Russia, Ukraine, Belarus, Moldova, Armenia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan, Kyrgyzstan, Georgia, Albania, Croatia, Macedonia and Bosnia-Herzegovina; persons who have no nationality; citizens of countries which do not have diplomatic relations with Korea (such as Cuba).

BUSINESS VISA
Single Entry Business Visa, valid for 90 days for stay of less than 90 days
Regular: 5-8 working days $30
Multiple Entry Business Visa, valid for one year for stays of less than 90 days
Regular: 5-8 working days $104
TOURIST VISA
Single Entry Tourist Visa, valid for 90 days for stay of less than 90 days

TEACHING FOREIGN LANGUAGE VISA
Applicants will have to personally attend an interview in Vancouver to receive this visa. All requirements changed on 15 December 2008. Applicants are advised to not make final travel arrangements until a visa has been confirmed. If you enter Korea prior to the visa being issued, the application will be considered nullified.
E2 Language Teaching Visa
These are only issued to Canadians with a Visa Issuance Number from Korea (not required if invited by the Ministry of Education).
Regular: 10 working days $55
SHORT TERM EMPLOYMENT VISA
This visa is for a stay of 90 days or less for profit purposes from commercials, fashion modelling, lectures, research, instruction of new technology, etc.
Regular: 14 working days $33
0LONG TERM EMPLOYMENT VISA
This visa is for a stay of more than 90 days for profit purposes, and requires consultation with the Korean consular office in Ottawa.
