Do I Need a Visa to Visit Vietnam?

Canadian citizens using a Canadian passport require a visa to visit Vietnam.

Nationals of the following countries do not need a visa to enter Vietnam:
Bulgaria, Cuba, Indonesia, Japan, Korea DPRK, Korea ROK, Laos, Malaysia, Philippines, Romania, Singapore, Thailand;
China PRC with a passport stamped AB;
Mongolia with a passport stamped AB, AC or AO;
Ukraine with a passport stamped AB.

All other nationals will need a visa.

Tourists do not require an official invitation to visit Vietnam.
